Just a Note.....

Well the weather has turned, as they say, and Sydney has moved quite firmly into winter.  Not sure where autumn went, but the mild days and chilly nights are gone, gone, gone.
So I'm in the craft room having fun.
I don't 'do' cards but thought I'd have a try at a few designs I've seen on Pinterest, with slight variations, the Louisa touch...hmm....

Happy Monsters
Each card has a matching gift tag - all in the one bag.

I do like the Duplo block version, all with a matching tag.

Making these cards was fun...but each block has 4 to 8 circles (from the Itty Bitty punch set) and one dimensional per dot.  That's a lot of dimensional.    BUT effective.

I do like this stamp set - Cheerful Critters
Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral, love these colours together.

What happy chappies....
Of course there are tags to match.

Totally not Stampin' Up papers, but I think it works.
The paper eyes were so fiddly, so I moved onto plastic googly ones.

And...a matching tag   : )

Plaid carrots?  Of course!

 Happy Chick Sticks.

Mini Berry (or Egg) Baskets  :)

My version of the Bunny Hutches I saw on line.  Cheeky Chicks.

Curvy Keepsake Boxes work for any occasion !

Anyone for Tea?

2015 version of Martha Stewart's tea cozy from fat quarters.
Of course I didn't keep my first pattern, nor the first model I made 10 years ago.
But I thought I'd give it a go.
It fits, it works, I like the pattern and the colours.
Perhaps I will enter it into the CWA Branch Craft Item for this year.

CWA at the Hornsby Australia Day in the Park Celebrations

Heather, June, Lyn and myself setting up the stall - Say G'Day to the CWA

More members now and yummy food items flying off the table.
Rain coats prove it was a very, very wet Aust Day.
Heather was so cold she wore one of the sales items, a hand made knee rugs.
Good way to promote sale items, Heather

Triplets came to visit.  How wonderful.  Despite the constant drizzle we sold everything.
A very successful day indeed.

Counting Down to Australia Day 2015

These are a few of my little offerings for the CWA Stall in the Park on
Australia Day at Hornsby Park and Aquatic Centre.

Our CWA Branch will be hosting a stall selling jams, chutneys, ANZAC Biscuits, slices, scones, cook books as well as hand made items.

I thought these little fellows would work.  A variation from the M & M filled cellophane sticks.
But I think what kid wouldn't want lollies, so I will make up some with M & M's.

I must be an old soul...(or if you listen to my kids - I'm just old...hmm.)
I surround myself with items that I love and remind me of times gone by.
Cornish Pottery,  Willow pattern china,  an old wooden bread board, and this years purchase from The Drill Hall Emporium, New Norfolk, Tasmania,  a wonderfully worn French Cheese Board.

It's been a Very Merry Christmas...

Well I very early on fell in love with the Curvy Keepsake Boxes, mainly because I could use them as a canvas for my paper-crafting.
Below are a selection and as December moved along so variations started to appear.

FROSTY,  PERCY / PENNY, & GOOD OLD SANTA

Snowmen and Santa Lolly Sticks
Snowmen appeared, as all the family miss Washington winters, and making snowmen in our yard.
Christmas Paper Flower Pens.
Party Hat Penguin Hanging Boxes.
Boxed Soap and Scented Votives.

Boxed Scented Soaps as Table Gifts.

This darling jar diorama - Snowy Street.   Thank you Beth for the inspiration.
(The photo does not do it justice.)

Star Box made with the Stampin' Up Star Ornament Kit. So many variations can be made from this kit.
The silver star is embossed and added to 2" c/stock circles.
(1" x 1")  x 4" tall boxes.  These sweet boxes came about  because I needed something Christmasy for chocolates. Both made with DSP (designer series paper) scored on the scored board, then '1/2 bon-bon'  fold top cut on the new Stampin' Up Box Maker Board.  Too Easy!

Classic Paper Pine-Cone Keepsakes
Still my absolute favorite craft idea.
