Clowning Around

Again this idea came from the darling cupcake holders.
I've re-vamped my clown candy topper to match the cups.
Again he is attached to a cellophane bag filled with what ever you want.
Puts a smile on my face, I hope for you as well.

Minnie Mouse Munchies

I found these darling cupcake cups, and of course they reminded me of Minnie Mouse.
I've filled a cellophane bag with tissue to show design.  Imagine a cute cupcake or other party favour tucked in the bag for a little girls party.  Sweet...

A Mixed Collection...

I saw this style card on Stampin Up Frenchies website.
It is a simple, quick card but I think the end product is quite effective.

Cute three step card.  I haven't used this stamp set in a while.
Always nice to revisit old friends.
Speaking of friends, thank you Kirstin for the sweet brad, it looks quite at home there.

FIVE LITTLE PIGS
Still a work in progress, but I like the idea of these pink pig gift tags.
I'm noodling the idea of grey hippos, and white sheep next.

Whoa... a little bright.
I wanted to try the oval frame embosser, then try to make a window in the pillow box.  This stamp set has been a favourite for years, but only recently purchased from the retiring list.  Have it now thank goodness.
The holly leaves now have some glitter added, makes them a little more festive.

It's been years of searching, but now I have found a way to make a front door card.
I've added a wreath for Christmas, but can see many variations, new home, moved house, welcome to the neighbourhood, from our house to yours, on and on.
I Love It !

Coffee time - then back to the craft table - YAY!

How Sweet It Is!

 Candy Wrapper Treat Boxes

I just love this Candy Wrapper die cut.
It took a while to perfect the folding needed to make this sweet treat idea.
Once worked out they are so-o simple to make.
I prefer using printed paper as opposed to card stock.
Both work, it's just a personal preference.

Halloween

Yes you guessed it - toilet roll centres.  Recycling is a good thing.

Can't help myself...  I just love these Candy Wrapper boxes.
Using Stampin' Up  Designer Series Paper  - with it's double sided print, makes all the difference to the finished box; showing the contrast pattern at the twist end is really cute.

Why So Angry...

I'm not sure why these little critters are so popular, but they are.
Fun to make for the grandkids.

Christmas is Coming...

Flipped, and enlarged to accommodate Aussie A4 paper.

Triple Time Cards

I'd seen this style of card making for a little while now and wondered - how?
As I found out I seriously didn't have a large background stamp.  So I managed with what I have on hand.
Something to think of when making my next order.
Backgrounds are important, something to build upon. hmm....

Christmas is Coming....

Finding something to use an old favourite stamp set with a new embossing folder.
Yes, it needs a greeting, this is coming in my next Stampin' Up order.
But why wait!

One Sheet Holder

Fun dress up for a gift holder.
I found the instructions for this one sheet holder on google.
As it turned out it is quite a sturdy holder and I can see many uses for it.
But the 'happy accident' in this project was the flower.
It needed something, and by chance Stampin with Frenchie's email arrived and there it was -
how to flowers!

This is made with 5 scallop circle pieces; edged with Old Olive marker; held together with a brad (doesn't have to be anything fancy as you will not see it); sprayed and scrunched each layer with water to form a tight flower bud;  then let semi dry and tease layers apart to allow flower to bloom.
Once dry the flower is quite firm.
Love the idea.

What a Hoot!

What I've learnt.....
Keep the front scallop layers low on the body so their eyes aren't too high,
this makes the 'ears' stand out more.
Different beak shape, adds interest.
So fun to make.

Who Gives a Hoot? I Do!

Funny Little Fellows
Yes, they are made using the pillow box die cut.
Scallop punch for the layered feather front, wings, feet and tail.

Simply Simple

What can I do with glossy white cardstock?
Inks either smudge or take ages to dry, so it just sat there looking at me.
I'm not the smartest tool in the shed, but it hit me, emboss it!
So here are my offerings.
So Simple.

Ah - Ah - Tissue...

Thank you Kirstin for your darling tissue holder.
It's taken me months but here are some of my first attempts to reproduce your clever idea.
Love the ribbon lift...smart.

Pitter Patter

Look at all the fun you can have with paper!
How cute are these little shoes?
So many possibilities -  too easy.

Sweet Treats...

You can't get any sweeter than Minnie Mouse...
These portion cups could be fun containers for chocolates, lollies, or even a single cup cake.
Too easy.

As soon as I saw these lovely coral coloured portion cups I thought of my 'old clown friend'.
A few adjustments and here he is ready for a party.
As you can see circles and scallop punches, a little embossing, inked edges, pipe cleaner and
there he is!

Birds of a Feather

Tweet Everyone
Well what do you think of the cockatoo?   The beak needs some work, but a fun alternative for the dove die-cut.  Love the colours.  Then a flock of fun loving friends.  Too cute.

Wall Decor

 Sail Away  (large)

           Beautiful Babushkas

Happy Hoots

Peaceful Butterfly

I can see that these pictures could be used as easy, cost effective ways to brighten up a wall or corner.
Or turned into notice boards by adding ribbon strips,
or even just pin boards to attach notes or jewellery.

Any suggestions?

Wall Decor

 Fun Fruit

I'm trying my hand at Wall Decor.
Made from quality, heavy weave cotton, padded and stretched over canvas frames.
The backs are finished with cotton tape for a neat, smooth finish, and framing hangers.

It's in a Safe Spot....

I have tucked away my camera card in a safe spot so Julia could use my camera
while on her trip to Spain.  But can I find it now?
No!
When I do I'll post the crafty items that I know are captured on the missing camera card.
Ho hum....is it just me?
The older I get the more often things go missing.
Ha!  Ha!  Ha!

Happy Gift Tags

I am just loving the colours and papers in these gift tags.
There is just not enough hours in the day to get all these ideas onto paper.  tee hee....

Note Cards and Carrier

Happy Accident

This is my take on a posting from Thoughts That Stick blogspot.

Happy Accident....

Those working with paper know there sometimes are happy accidents. This is one of mine.

While working out the dimensions for the card carrier, somehow I flipped it, and my carrier wasn't wide enough to hold a envelope. So lets make it a note card holder and forget the envelopes. I think it worked out well.

Funny how things work out.

Foxy Loxy...by Lu Vince

What a darling fox costume made by my dear daughter-in-law Lucy.

I can just see sweet Henry lost in his imagination as a fun fox.

What a good mum you are, Lu.

Meet Three of My Friends

These little fellows will make cute chocolate holders for Easter this year.

What do you think?

If I had taken a sideways shot you would see these little guys are on triangle folds which allows them to free stand, as well as hold a small chocolate at the back.

Oval punches; circle punch for eyes, feet, cheeks; scallop punch for feet and detail for chick and frog.

I think they are fun, and hope the grand children do as well.

Hey it worked !

Saw this style card on Inking Idaho and thought I'd give it a go. With a bit more tweeking I think it will work. Another little idea to keep in the back of my mind.

Flower Flurry

I'm just loving the Big Shot machine and the embossing folders.

How quick is it to 'tissy' up a card with a cute flower?

That's Different....

At Stamp Club, Beth showed us how to make herringbone cards.

I don't know what it is about cutting and pasting strips of paper that is so soothing, but I loved making these cards. Thanks Beth, and thank you Kirstin, again for the lovely paper selection.

Thanks a Bunch...

Thank you Kirstin for your box of Stampin' Up treats.

I hope you approve of the end results of those very cute DSPs you sent.

I especially love the Kiwi Kiss versions, but the Cherry Cobbler is pretty cute also.

So Sweet !

Valentines Day treats for family and friends.

As Valentines Day approaches I tell myself to buy a heart punch, and I still haven't, so this is my attempt to turn two ovals into hearts. I think they work as strawberry hearts....just.
