What a Hoot!

What I've learnt.....
Keep the front scallop layers low on the body so their eyes aren't too high,
this makes the 'ears' stand out more.
Different beak shape, adds interest.
So fun to make.

Who Gives a Hoot? I Do!

Funny Little Fellows
Yes, they are made using the pillow box die cut.
Scallop punch for the layered feather front, wings, feet and tail.

Simply Simple

What can I do with glossy white cardstock?
Inks either smudge or take ages to dry, so it just sat there looking at me.
I'm not the smartest tool in the shed, but it hit me, emboss it!
So here are my offerings.
So Simple.

Ah - Ah - Tissue...

Thank you Kirstin for your darling tissue holder.
It's taken me months but here are some of my first attempts to reproduce your clever idea.
Love the ribbon lift...smart.

Pitter Patter

Look at all the fun you can have with paper!
How cute are these little shoes?
So many possibilities -  too easy.

Sweet Treats...

You can't get any sweeter than Minnie Mouse...
These portion cups could be fun containers for chocolates, lollies, or even a single cup cake.
Too easy.

As soon as I saw these lovely coral coloured portion cups I thought of my 'old clown friend'.
A few adjustments and here he is ready for a party.
As you can see circles and scallop punches, a little embossing, inked edges, pipe cleaner and
there he is!

Well what do you think of the cockatoo?   The beak needs some work, but a fun alternative for the dove die-cut.  Love the colours.  Then a flock of fun loving friends.  Too cute.
